I graduated with my BFA in Theatre from Adelphi University. As an actor, I learned about creating character, dialogue, and how truth is revealed through words and actions. I made words come alive. I got that skill set.

I moved to Ludlow Street when half the buildings were still abandoned and art was everywhere. Music was the glue holding all things together. I got calls from family and friends that they had seen my photo in a fashion magazine—snapped by street fashion scouts—or on TV—dancing in a nightclub. Life was art. I waited tables and slung drinks and chased my dreams. Highlights of that time were being in the Williamtown Theatre Festival, and going on live nationwide at the MTV Video Music Awards—with a few minutes rehearsal and no cue cards! But the acting gigs still weren’t enough to pay the rent.

I found work in educational publishing. I was a partner in an event design firm. Did other things. Got more skills.

And still the music won’t leave me, nor the words, the characters, or the stories. So I’m writing it all. I make the words come alive. I got that skill set.
